Doing follow up work from the Cdn census--they were due May 10 so I now have to go to addresses that didn't return them and see if I can get them to return them. Didn't have time to go out this evening, which pisses me off. But I'll do visits tomorrow and some phone calls (if there are phone numbers for them). And yes, there are fines/jail time if you don't complete it. If it rains on Sunday then I'll probably do some writing on my wip big bang story.

At least I get paid for the census stuff.

What kind of census? I am not sure what Cdn stands for. And do you mean, YOU get fined if it isn't completed or the people who don't turn in their stuff get fined?

Ha, sorry. Cdn=Canadian. National census, every household is required to fill one out and return it. In rural areas like where I live, they are delivered by hand, I was an enumerator, delivering censuses to households in the week before it was due. Now its follow up time with households which haven't yet returned a census. It is the people who don't complete/return a form that can get charged. Canada once again requires this by law. Under Stephen Harper's dictatorship, it was voluntary.

Interesting! I guess that means that you guys have pretty accurate census data.
