Re: potential local urban legends

Well, I was born and raised in Union, SC. The only reason anyone has heard of Union, SC is because that is where Susan Smith drowned her two boys in John D. Long Lake. She lied to the nation for nine days about what actually happened. That would make for some creepy shit by itself.

But two years after that happened seven more people died (including four children) when their vehicle rolled into the lake at the exact spot Susan Smith killed her children. They had been visiting the memorial to the two boys and something terrible happened.

Right now there isn't a lot of urban legend type stuff surrounding the area. But it is one more accidental drowning away from being the central location of some new horror movie.
