Re: Music Videos that Changed Your Opinion of a Song

Positive: The video for Taylor Swift's Blank Space made me really love the song. I thought the song was just kind of silly when I heard it on the radio and didn't pay much attention to the lyrics, but the video is hilarious and now I love the song because I picture the video.

Negative: The video for Selena Gomez's Good For You made me like it less. Hearing the song, I had this image in my head of a rather pathetic girl trying desperately to get and retain the approval of some guy and making her whole identity and sense of validation about being liked by this guy. (I also thought the line "make that Tiffany jealous" was about making some girl named Tiffany jealous and nothing to do with diamonds.) In the video, she's just kind of sitting there smiling cutely and it was totally not the vibe I got from the song and now I can't appreciate the song as much.
