(Anonymous) 2016-05-21 12:50 am (UTC)(link)I always read "the way you grab me/must wanna get nasty" as her "grabbing" his attention. So the assumption that all hot women he's sexually attracted too are "nasty" and secretly welcoming his attention was really skeevy. I assumed this because the rest of the lyrics seem to imply she's acting like a "good girl".
So that was my first interpretation, but apparently other people see it the exact opposite, where "the way you grab me" is his interest being returned.
I honestly never cared that much and the infidelity interpretation makes sense as well (even if I think the song is gross anyway) but apparently we're talking about this song again and I'm still confused about this.

Frankly I never cared that much either - I'm not a fan of Thicke, but I wont turn if off it it comes on the radio. Its catchy enough. I was just baffled at the outrage.
