If you look at the threads, that's why I didn't freeze them until anon started being like "no u" (and also only the threads where lady_dragoon and the anon were talking got frozen, not the whole thread, unless I made a mistake somewhere). Then the other threads only got frozen when the anon started stalking the rest of them.

If that hadn't happened, I was going to let them stand. (So no, this isn't precedence or excuse to be an ass in a thread then ask for a freeze so no one can reply to you! Don't worry.)

I still think that is a bad precedent. It is just a way of letting a specific person get the last word in. First person to go running to Case wins, instead of first person to act like an adult and just stop replying. There is an an easy way to end a thread that has devolved to that level and that is to stop posting in it. Getting Case to shut it down is a powerplay, not a conversation ender.

Nah. True, it might start to suck if you're anon, because if a named user says something, you disagree, they can start wanking to get the thread frozen (Seriously, LD /started/ the wank then went and reported the thread? I'd be impressed with her balls if I wasn't so irritated)

BUT

really there are only like three named users who love the last word that much and are petty enough to do it, and anons always have the option to nut up and get an account. They're free!
