Does OP have a point about some of those criteria?

Predominantly white and male seems to be a thing.

They're not totally talking off their ass, they're just sort of ignoring the other narratives and structures that we use for the wealthy in fiction.

I agree. There is a stereotype of white, weak, ineffectual male character with screaming fuckton of money (dating myself, but the most egregious example I can think of was Trevor from James Bond, Jr.). But they're either not familiar with or ignoring many of the counterexamples.
