We traveled alone all the time. It can be a ton of fun, Anon! My usual MO was to just take a bus somewhere with a hostel, and then just wander around town investigating anything I found interesting. And of course, there's always going to a place for a specific thing... like going to Dinosaur, CO for the dinos!
