I'm laughing a little at the timing of this secret, because I just got into a manga called Bungou Stray Dogs where all the main characters are named after famous literary figures, and have superhuman abilities relating to the works of the people they are named after (like, for example, John Steinbeck has the ability Grapes of Wrath, which is taken very literally - he can grow grape vines out of his own body and has control over plants).

The reason I bring it up is because one of the major antagonists is F. Scott Fitzgerald, who is pretty much New Money in every single way - his power, The Great Fitzgerald, actually allows him to gain strength and invincibility based on how much money he spends - money is LITERALLY his power. He's blonde, white, wears good clothes, and is haughty as heck, but when you find out about his motivations and backstory, he's actually surprisingly more nuanced than a normal rich stereotype - for example, he actually goes out of his way to protect every single person who works for him, and is willing to take on more difficult tasks and jobs so his subordinates won't have to.

Overall, I totally see what you're saying, since that stereotype is SO pervasive, but there are exceptions floating around! They exist.

Oh, hey! More examples of rich people who aren't the prissy, effete stereotypes that are "all the rich people in media" -- Nick, Jay, Daisy and Tom from the Great Gatsby.
