that's an excellent point. If the stuff she was doing before (the flower?) kept her from experiencing any of the pain or inconvenience of aging, then she got a great deal overall.

Gothel really got away with a lot more than the movie showed, if you think about it. With all the points brought up, she still had it pretty good, even if she didn't get 100% of what she wanted.
