Ok, she was a narcissist, but the idea of being afraid of death doesn't mean you're an arrogant asshole who thinks you're "better" than the grim reaper. Honestly, you could have phrased it a lot differently. That's a bit of an over dramatic thing to say. Maybe saying she thinks she's the kind of person who should only live forever would make more sense.
