Okay, so I am laughably out of date with any kind of pop culture music and always have been. I'd never heard of Panic! At The Disco before but I just recently heard one of their songs done for a fanvid, and then looked them up and I'm liking their music. I think some of their music vids are very nice too.

What's the general consensus on this band? What other musicians or music vids do you think I should check out (doesn't have to be like PATD - I just like to try a variety of stuff but I don't listen to the radio or anything so I never know who to look for)? What's your favorite music vid?

I know you said it doesn't have to be like Panic! At the Disco, but a lot of people who like them also enjoy old Fallout Boy, so you might want to give them a try (I want to stress "old," like pre-break-up. The post-reunion stuff is very different).

I love Panic at the Disco's older music, their first big hit album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" and I love pretty much the entire album. I saw them live in 2006 and honestly? Their show was a hot mess. The vocals were all over the place, but the show was super theatrical. I haven't seen them since, so I can't compare.

Other bands you might want to check out might be "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon (the video is amusing). I really love Mayday Parade, All Time Low, and Fall Out Boy, but mostly the stuff released 2004-2008, I haven't really listened to their newer stuff.

If you want other good random music, I love Kacey Musgraves, who is a country singer. Biscuits, Merry Go Round, and Follow Your Arrow are good songs to start with for her.
