Silmarillion reference! Uh, I like both typse too. But when it comes to the first type, I prefer the type where they didn't bring it on themselves. Turin is too much of an asshole for me, and curse or not, most of the bad things that happen to him are his own fault. And as a result other people's lives are ruined as well.
