I can understand this. Especially since so many of those people are freakin' Reylo shippers and can't understand why people HATE HIM and why REY HATES HIM.

I get fucked up pairs, believe me, I do. But hoping this one becomes canon and all romantic and making him out to be this misunderstood woobie and who did no wring just...REALLY grinds my gears.

The only thing that really bugs me about the pairing (because I can avoid it easily in my life), is that it's the one that's most likely to become canon, IMO. I don't think it's justified, or right, or reasonable. But come on, do you really think they'll give us stormpilot? Or Rey/Finn? Nope, I think they'd rather have the heroine and the villain fuck and her "redeem" him than anything else. And that really grinds my gears. :(

It also unnerves me a bit that I think my mom could possibly ship it... She thinks he has good in him, etc., and enjoyed their interaction and and and.

Just...pls not canon.

I doubt it's actually all that likely to become canon. They're probably going to be revealed to be related instead, and Rey will end up with Finn, will end up with a character who hasn't been introduced yet, or will end up alone.

The only pairing I think it's more likely to be canon than is Finn/Poe, because LucasArts is painfully regressive when it comes to LGBT characters.

Yeah, I read an article about how it would never happen...because Hollywood NEEDS to sell in China so it wouldn't be allowed. That hurt. I mean, fine, if Finn/Poe isn't canon, I will live. But what a shitty reason that would be! "Oh, sorry, some country doesn't approve of gay people so no gay people for you!!"

I mean personally I like Rey/Finn more than any other potential pairing, but that is just a shit reason to specifically avoid this one gay pairing

I know, right? I love Rey and I love Finn; I'd be fine seeing them together, even though I don't really ship them. And I won't be surprised if they don't make Stormpilot canon, but if so, please, please pick a better reason than THAT!

Honestly I'm not even amazed anymore. Maybe I'm kinda cynical but big business has at least as much power as our government if not more, and I'm under no illusions that they care about the ~American values~ that individual citizens say are supposed to represent us.

I think Rey/Finn is waaaay more likely to become canon than Reylo. (which is good for me lol)

I also think Otaku is right that they will end up being related though I hope that doesn't happen because "Rey is actually a Skywalker/Solo" would be kinda boring. (I'd be ok with Rey is a Kenobi though!)
