Kid: Didn't have a computer.

Teen: The time we did have a computer (my brother's), it didn't have internet and I don't even know how common the 'net was, nor how expensive (it was the latter 90s).

Twenties: The Sevillian Board (a social discussion board for a webcomic), The Attic (now known as Gamejag - a message board for Baldur's Gate fanfic). LiveJournal.

Now: Here, Twitter, YouTube, the Sims 3 Store, Mod The Sims.

Oh, that also doesn't count the fanfic sites (the Attic notwithstanding).

Twenties was mostly FF.net with a bit of AFF.net and a lot of LJ fandom comms.

Thirties has continued that until I drifted away from the active Hobbit fandom and as a consequence LJ in general, so now it's mostly FF.net and AO3, depending on which fandom.
