Not to steal your question spotlight, but Sailor Moon is one of those things I didn't get a chance to get into as a kid because I didn't have cable TV growing up in the 90's. I think I really would've been into it, though... still, I feel like if I tried to watch it now, it'd feel really dated.

So, as someone who has zero nostalgia factor, isn't worried about changes or whatever... would I prefer the remake, or the 90's version?

The remake is updated to take place in the present day, so it's probably not going to feel dated even if it has other problems.

It depends. I feel like the original anime has better character development and a lot more humor, but Crystal is more modern and can be very pretty to look at. The music's nice, but the first two seasons aren't that great story-wise.

I didn't have cable growing up either, but I was lucky because my local library had most of the episodes on tape and that's how I ended up watching the show. I did miss several episodes and one whole story arc though.

Haha, no worries! This was a question I was asking myself, actually.
At this point, if I can find subs I think I'll try the older series, because while this one may be slicker, I'm not managing to enjoy the story much. They give away every plot point about three seconds after the question comes up, it's almost impossible to even be interested in what might happen, because they give everything away so quickly, lest the momentary interest make you stop watching or something.
