Is it worth just switching to the old one, then? The length was kind of what worried me, which is why I thought Crystal might be better. Can you even find the original anime subbed?

And yes, god, that crystal. Shut up about the damn crystal DX

I think Hulu's got most of the episodes subbed and a few with the new Viz dub. I'm not sure where else you can stream it legally.

I do recommend switching over to the original anime, but just know that the first season is pretty slow. The series gets better during the middle of R, the second season. S and SuperS are the best seasons, IMHO.

Oh, I didn't know Hulu had subbed! I'll check it out (maybe finally make a subscription).
I can tolerate a slow beginning, if I'm at least mildly entertained and have hopes for the future. I watched an entire Precure series, for example XD

I'd def recommend switching to the old one. I'm sure there's guides to cutting out the filler of the anime so you can watch a more plot condensed version instead, too.

Yesss that sounds like a good idea. Original series with less monster of the week.

Those episodes provide for character development though. The original Sailor Moon is kind of slice of lifey and depends more on character than plot.

Yeah, I saw somebody else comment on that. If that's the case, and I go in with that expectation, should be fine :)
