It's SO good. And it really does feel like a Katniss song (that line about "I owe you nothing, that's all I've got for you" especially). And I also really associate that soundtrack with a specific time in my life, and listening to that song in particular brings me back to it instantly.

Of all of the Hunger Games soundtracks, I feel like it's the best put together too. The songs feel like District 12.

Definitely. There's also something sort of purer about it. Like, no one knew if the movie was going to be a hit, so it wasn't like the artists who contributed just did it because it would be an easy paycheck (I'm sure they were going to get paid no matter what, but no guarantee of huge exposure), they did it because they wanted to. Definitely did not get that feel off the later ones.

The other ones felt like they were rushed a bit and definitely didn't have the same feel in the slightest. Mockingjay Part 1 was super pop. Even though I love Chvrches, I didn't get how they fit in really.
