After years of telephone customer service/marketing I no longer find it difficult. I have also unfortunately developed the bad habit of treating people on the phone like numbered robots who will only respond to certain scripts. Not saying this is the best way to take care of the problem, but it apparently works pretty well.

At least I don't accidentally answer the phone with company taglines anymore.
