Re: Sailor Moon Crystal
I think the talking shit about the animation thing is sort of a modern-era snobbishness, you know? I can't see the first gif, it's saying access denied or something, but I believe you. The animation in Crystal is really stiff and weak. I've seen bits of the original anime, and it honestly looks pretty good to me. Yes it's 90s, but it's PRETTY 90s. I just watched a bit of the original's episode 1 today, and I think because it's a little more cartoony, even Usagi's crying isn't nearly as annoying.
It's like how I watched Utena, and okay, I'd love to see some of those scenes with full-on animation (especially the battles), and maybe a bit less repetition in some parts, but holy hell that's a gorgeous looking show.
