People who walk up escalators when there are stairs right there. If there are no stairs, fine. If there are, though, leave the escalator for those who want to ride it up as it was designed for.

Just stand on the right side and let people walk up if they please.

There are instances where there are a lot of people who want to stand, and people who want to walk up push past.

That is mostly what I'm annoyed about. But really, when there are stairs as an option the escalators should be first for people who wants to use them as they were intended and only secondly for those who have other options.

Science says that slows everyone down. You all get to the top (or bottom if it is going that way) quicker if everyone stands. London Underground is trying to get people to stop walking on them and only standing on the right, because it has too much congestion to allow damn hippie libertarians to walk on the escalators anymore. It gets people off the escalators quicker.

Combing walking + escalator makes your energy expenditure more efficient, so it's easier than climbing static steps, though. But I apologize because I do this all the time as long as there aren't people in my way.

At least you're not shoving people just to annoy people.

Oh, never. But if the way is clear and I'm in a hurry or not too tired, I'll walk up the escalator. It's kind of fun because I feel like a giant taking super big strides.

Are you not from a big city? Escalator is, stand on one side and walk on the other (right/left side designated depending on the city)

Hahahah I push past these people with the most passive-aggressively Canadian "excuse me, sorry" I can muster.

I will also sit on seats occupied by a bag if there are no other open seats on the bus or train in the same manner. "Excuse me, sorry," and then immediately start to sit down. They can either move the bag or have me sit on it. (They move it every time.) I will also do this when the person is sitting in the aisle seat and the bag is on the window seat, because I see your passive-aggressive attempt to not let anyone sit beside you and raise you a passive-aggressively sincere apology for the inconvenience of taking that seat anyway, because there is no god and there's nothing you can do to stop me because there's a sign above the window that says not to put bags on seats, so you can either a) argue about it with me/the driver and be wrong, b) assault me and go to jail, or c) move your goddamned bag you selfish git.

Caveat: if there are plenty of open seats left, by all means, put your bag on a seat. As soon as those seats fill up, move it into your lap or onto the floor in front of you.

actually, I dislike people who stand on the escalator and leave no room for me to walk by them. there's an elevator right there - take that if you want to stand.

I was trying to catch a commuter train and had to run up the escalator so I wouldn't miss it. If you are the bitch who deliberately blocked the whole damn escalator you suck. You also dress like a crack ho.
