It's offensive to me as a man because it implies that I'm an oppressor any time I try to correct a woman who is factually incorrect or any time I try to explain my opinions and feelings to a woman who does not like what I have to say. It also flies in the face of feminist goals to remove unnecessary gendering from the world. The statements I make should be judged by whether or not my statements are true, earnest, and constructive. My gender has nothing to do with that. Women's speech should not be dismissed because they're women. The same thing applies to men and every other gender.
