I was hoping he'd stay dead too. In a series full of interesting, flawed, morally grey characters, Jon stands out as being incredibly dull and cliche imo. At the very least, I was hoping Jon would come back a little fucked up or slightly braindead after being dead for a few days ala Catelyn (though not as severe as her), but nope, it's like nothing even happened, which just makes his death feel like cheap shock value and nothing more.

It also makes me rme whenever people are like "ANYONE CAN DIE IN GOT" when, let's face it, there's no chance in hell Jon, Dany, and Tyrion are ever gonna croak.

Sucks that the blandest characters with the most boring chapters are guaranteed to survive the entire series. Tyrion used to be okay until ADWD ruined him.
