Honestly? I have a totally irrational knee-jerk dislike of folks who are REALLY into swords, the bigger the better, and talk about how much more dignified and civilized they are than guns.

The cynical part of me is just like, "I get it, Freud, you wish your sword was as big as Cloud's and could cut people in half, but it's not and it can't so GROW UP."

I've met a few people who're exactly like that with guns. It's reeeeeally obvious sometimes when someone's got issues...

Yeah, the circles I hang in, sword freaks are way more common than gun nuts. (More overlap with paganism and anime.) I dunno, it's one thing if folks are honestly into their craft, but some folks... it gives me the creeps for some reason.

Same here. It's hard to keep from glancing down and assessing the size of a guy's package when he can't shut upppppp about how many guns he has, what caliber they are blah blah blah.
