Pretty sure the flak Tony gets is because of his obnoxious stans who have plagued the fandom for years and continue, despite all evidence to the contrary, to insist he's the one true woobie of the series and has never done anything wrong.

Even though I'm not in the Marvel fandom anymore, I'm kind of glad to see Tony and his fanbase finally get some blow back. As a former Cap stan, it was nigh impossible to avoid seeing Steve get shat on constantly by Tony stans back when the original Avengers movie came out because "he was so mean to our poor bby ubububu ;_;"
