no one is being "punished" by someone choosing not to go to a movie on moral grounds. and you realize production staff and actors will be paid anyway, right? people have every right to boycott a movie if they wish.

Yeah, no, if people figure out that paying Fassbender to be in their movies causes the movies to flop, then movies will still get made, those innocent people will still get work, but Fassbender will starve in the street.

*cough* Actors and production staff get paid for their work regardless of how big of a box office hit a movie is. Some actors might miss out on an additional bonus, but that'd be on top of their already generous salaries they've negotiated and signed long before ever stepping foot before a camera. Also, despite your contempt for SJW-like tactics, it's a bit like pretending that someone trying to empty the sea with a tea cup is going to incur any significant drainage.
