Went to eat at some new place for lunch. Their menu was confusing as fuck. Their meals said, "Come with drink, fries, and a side." They gave me the bill and it was like $20 more than I thought it would be. They charged me for each drink, EVEN THOUGH THE MENU SAID IT WAS PART OF THE MEAL. >: The meat was great but the sides were meh. Probably won't go back again.

I was so mad. And I am too socially awkward to be like, "Take the drinks off you crazy person. I don't want you shitty Sprite." in front of a line of customers. I just won't be getting takeout any next week to make up for this.

Well, you don't have to call it a shitty Sprite. You could just say, "Excuse me, but I saw on the menu that the drink comes as part of the meal?" It's possible that the waiter just dorked up.

Pretty sure the waiter was the business owner. And she messed up something else that I had to tell her to correct (I ordered brisket, she put down ribs). That was about my limit of awkward social interactions for the day.

Also, the Sprite was terrible. It was too sweet. Did not realize that until I got home with it.

No, they didn't charge for that. They charged for the drink period. The menu said this.

[Dinner Combo Comes With Drink, French Fries, and One Side]. Maybe I read it wrong, but that sounds like the Drink is included in the price. But it wasn't. It was an extra $1.50. :(

Most places that I've seen like this have the separate "entree" sold for one price, and an extra charge (like $1.50 or whatever) if you want to upgrade to the combo and get side(s)/drink.
