I actually learned more about Van Gogh from a 60 Minutes piece where they were interviewing an author of a book that suggested Van Gogh didn't actually commit suicide. I thought the Dr. Who episode was really well done though. I really felt bad for the character.

I've heard that theory. The one that posits that he was really shot by accident by some local kids out hunting and he didn't want that spectre hanging over them so he told Theo to tell people that he had shot himself?
