Re: Criminal Minds

I was annoyed with the explanation for why Hotch was brought in and what they thought he would do. This is an FBI agent with a pretty spotless record, and the thing being held against him was how he *allegedly* reacted under a mind-altering drug? Set-up wasn't their first thought? And then the guy just let him go when Hotch threatened him? Everything about that part of the episode was too hard to believe.

I did want more of what Hotch feared after watching Mr. Scratch. That episode was eerie and weird but it ended on an unsatisfactory note for me so I would be game for a Part 2. I think there's more they could do with him, and it's a good way to explore the team's fears.

I was so sad to see Jack upset but not at all surprised. Given all the times Hotch has had to miss something with him because of work and the scary close-calls, I can see that taking a toll. I hope they don't give him a moody teenager storyline (like Catherine's daughter on CSI) and that Jack quickly forgives his dad.

I haven't seen all of the spinoff yet. The cases are okay. The characters are very meh to me. They don't seem to have much chemistry, and a lot of it feels forced. Hopefully they'll reevaluate and shift focus for next season.
