I was a different anon btw, sorry for the confusion. So that is why I didn't answer your question, it wasn't directed at me, it was just the first time I read that link. But I guess to answer it anyway: idk the main thing I would think would be that at 19, situations where drunk people (regardless of gender) initiate a sexual act can be confusing, especially if you are very inexperienced in sex, relationships, and issues of consent, and freezing in confusion can happen, and while it doesn't make the party lose their responsibility, it does explain a bad response.

So yes I think it is a person's responsibility to stop them, but I can understand being confused when suddenly faced with that responsibility.

Thinking about it more, I do wish Amy Schumer came to a similar conclusion, and the fact that she hasn't seem to does make her seem shittier. Basically if this speech had any mention of her wishing she had responded better for his sake and not just for her own self esteem, it would be way more redeemable in my eyes.
