Well it could have been Finn/Poe but unfortunately the fandom fucked itself over by going full Morality Police. For quite a few months Poe/Finn was by far the most popular ship but SJWs giving shippers shit for writing it "wrong' didn't do it any favors.

In contrast two villainous cis white guys are the kind of toys you can abuse as much as your little heart desires.
