I've been thinking about this. I actually really disliked some of the dwarf personalities but I liked others and I agreed that it was nice they had some. But, now, I don't think it is. They wasted so much time on characters that weren't important. They should've picked 3 or 4 dwarves to give lines to and the rest should've been treated as an indistinguishable mass. The audience didn't know who to care for.

I think focusing so much on little things like this is part of the reason the filmmakers lost their way. They couldn't see the forest for the trees.
