Ok I'm confused when I watched the trailer today for the first time, where does this fit in the grand Star Wars storyline?

(It's about as bad as me trying to figure out what timeline the various X-Men movies and Spiderman versions have played in the last 15-20 years or something like that)

I'm pretty sure it's set between episodes 3 and 4.

As far as I know, it's between 3-4, and it's supposedly how the rebellion got the blueprints for the Death Star, as seen in 4.

I could be wrong, though?

that's what the trivia is saying on their IMDB.com page:
The film is set before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) and 5 years after Star Wars Rebels (2014).

(original OP that posted question) Thank you!! Now it makes sense since I did see the Death Star in the trailer but just didn't see where it fitted in.

Yup. It is the story of how the Rebellion got the first death star plans. I can't wait.
