Ergh, that sucks. Condolences to you and your family on your loss. And given some of my relatives died when I was really young (or not even born yet), I get the frustration of wishing you'd gotten to know them better or saw them more often.

Those DVDs sound like they'd be pretty fascinating to listen to. I'm glad they did preserve some stories and snapshots of the family history for you and future generations to treasure, at least. The Elvis story makes me chuckle a bit.

Thank you so much.

Maybe it's rose-tinted glasses, who knows, but it just feels so...end of an era, I guess. What they knew and did is now lost for good and all, no matter what bits we've preserved.

I love hearing them all talk, about cars and music, jobs and money, the state of the family, all that. It's really wonderful, and yeah - funny as hell sometimes, too.
