What people want in relationships is someone who, first of all, they're physically attracted to. And that's fine. That's a totally valid, natural, understandable, acceptable preference. I have no issue with that.

But for God's sake stop acting as though this isn't true and you're so enlightened and non-physical qualities are what really matters. All of those things are very important to you I'm sure but only in conjunction with a nice face and a body you want to be next to. Stop pretending.

Eh. The body type I like and prefer are slender, pretty men. I married a man who is stocky, with a belly, who has pretty rugged features. But he's smart, funny, affectionate and my best friend in the entire world. We can't imagine our lives without one another.

This is almost exactly me! Thought my 'type' was tall, dark guys with beards. Got with a stocky, short, pale redhead. Couldn't be happier though, our personalities are a great match.
