This. When I told a friend of mine that I wanted my abusive dad to die, she scoffed and said "uh, you're going to hell, he's your dad, you should forgive him". She doesn't even know the extent of the abuse, yet she still had the nerve to spout that shit because that rhetoric is so heavily ingrained in society.
