Yeah, the ones I've dealt with were all way more subtle, and many of them even outright lied just to get me to forgive them and continue the cycle. Which is why I have such a harsh, ironfisted one-strike policy. You fuck up, I'm done with you. Simple as that.

That's fair. Yeah, mine were too arrogant to be willing to lie that blatantly. I think the words would just stick in their craw too much. It has made for a very convenient barometer for dealing with people trying to scrape their way back to a relationship with me. It's like, "Okay, do you understand why I left? Why did I leave? Haha, no, you obviously are just having the sads and hoping that works, bye."
