Dang, I love suits. Do you dislike tuxes too? What about other kinds of formal wear, like stuff that's big in other cultures outside western white culture?

I think it's a shame men don't have more options for dressing up. Like women can wear so many styles of blouses/dresses/suits and men have...a suit or a tux, depending on how formal it is, and that's it. And while I think suits and tuxes are hot, it'd be cool if there were more variety esp. because I know some guys don't like wearing them :/

Tuxes are meh. It isn't the pants. Slacks are fine. It is the blazers. Men's jackets I'm not fond of. They are much less form conscious then woman's. And I despise the way any ties look. What is the purpose of a tie?

The only non-western men's formal wear I've seen are Philippine barongs, which are okay, but again not so form conscious. I like form conscious clothes. Why can't men wear clothes that show off their shape more often like women do?

(philstar or new anon?)

ah, I guess that's the difference then. I'm pretty indifferent to whether clothes are form-fitting on guys, especially because I think most of them sort of are anyway? Guys are in general pretty rectangular in shape, they don't have much in the way of curves that can be concealed.

I do not know the original purpose of a tie but I guess it's just like any other accessory, something you wear to look a certain way. idk I like them.
