I didn't bother with season 2 because I tortured my way through s1 and it was just so dull. Unappealing characters and mostly, like you said, absolutely atrocious dialogues. I have no idea why this show gets good reviews when the dialogues are so, so bad.

I only made it through 3 episodes and gave up. Too many other things I actually enjoy watching; it's not worth torturing myself, lol

Yeah the action scenes aren't like amazing to me? They don't look fake, but they don't exactly look real, either. And honestly there has to be some seriously impressive fighting/choreography going on to make dudes punching each other not get repetitive.

I liked Frank a lot in S2, but I haven't even managed to finish watching the whole season because I find Elektra completely dull. I don't follow the Daredevil comics so I don't know if it's faithful, but cripes she's awful.

But I actually like the main trio a lot. Matt's kind of a douche, but that seems entirely intentional to me. I like Karen a lot. I thought they did a good job straddling the line between someone kind of idealistic but also understanding that you have to fight to be idealistic in a world like hers.

That's why I'm super excited that they're giving The Punisher his own show. Jon Bernthal was absolutely incredible as Frank so I'll be watching that instead of subjecting myself to anymore Daredevil

I'm still trying to drag myself through season 1 and it does feel like a chore... it's a really boring show! I do like Matt, Karen, and Foggy, but all the other characters and the overall plot and subplots are so boring to me.

I wish I could watch a version of the show with the "beating someone up while they are restrained and can't fight back" scenes taken out, or at least reduced to a few seconds of beating each. They are fucking ENDLESS.
