She panted. The floorboards gave; splinters sank beneath her fingernails. The haze of the bar, the whiff of perfume, the glimpse of cleavage came back to her.

She's running. Her heart races, and her legs tremble, and her heels smack against the pavement. She reaches down to remove them.

She'd been so careful, crafting her songs around tales of oblivious and transient men, playing into the gossip, portraying herself as crazed and flighty. But this girl seemed to see through that. This girl seemed to understand.

She was all of Taylor's wildest dreams come true.

The creature comes. There's a growl, a thick, wet, tearing sound.

"You belong to me." The words were whispered in the dark, on a mattress, on the floor. It was not what she was used to, this sparse, blank space, but it served just fine. She cupped the face of her lover and thought of every fling she had striven to hide.

This one would be different.

Her back erupts in pain. She falls, rolls over. Looks up into the shining yellow eyes of the woman she loves.

She felt the hair bursting through her skin, felt her bones shifting, her joints cracking and bending, her gums splitting as they made way for longer, wider, sharper teeth. Her mind began to slip. She looked up, and through the window, took in the fullness of the moon.

Bad blood, foul and wanton, sparked in her veins.

The woman, the beast, snarls. Saliva drips onto Taylor's cheeks. She reflects, as the jaws clamp over the space between her neck and shoulder, that she should have known better.

The door erupted off its hinges. On all fours, she leaped into the night, overcome with desire, knowing only the hunt, seeing only red.

She gasps, "I knew you were trouble when you walked in."

Okay, so this is awesome. Especially loved the way you worked various song titles into the story :D.
