I have to say, I agree that Eddings didn't write enough of a resolution between those two to have me believe that canonically his affection for her is anything more than being cowed by her power... I wouldn't say I hate her, but woman is seriously cold. Not that she doesn't have good reason to be, but DAMN.

16. Get a new apartment? Okay, in all seriousness, I understand the obsession with the game but have you considered that these people just are naturally messy and you're just looking for excuses? I've quit and resubbed so many times and my house looks the same whether I'm playing or not :P

Yeah, some people are just natural born messes. The biology professor I work for has about a mile of papers on her desk at any given time. It drives my anal co-worker nuts, but it's just the way she is. And we understand each other, because I'm no neatnik myself. :P

They are naturally messy, but, they use WOW as a crutch and an excuse as if it's a valid reason for leaving food on the floor (not crumbs, actual food) and throwing receipts, food wrappers, shopping bags, etc. on the floor as if we don't have a garbage can a foot away. It's the excuse that gets to me. Being busy on a virtual game is not something that you absolutely can't get up and walk away from to do they essentials, like throwing your leftover food away. Using it as a reason for not having time to clean is just bollocks.

Ew, ok, if they're actively using it as an excuse, that's bad. I know what (don't laugh... ok, you can laugh :P) an addiction that game can be, how destructive it can be, so yeah, you should say something. Slobs are one thing, codependency and addiction are quite another.

Nah, that's okay. I do appreciate the look from the other side of it though. It is an addiction for one of them; if it's not WOW it's something else, you know? Kind of frustrating since they refuse to recognize they have a problem. They no longer do anything outside of virtual reality. It's nice to have real life interaction/hobbies, too.
