03. You know what? I concur wholeheartedly. I meant to make a similar secret ages ago, after my roommates stared at me in confusion for mentioning I liked it. Roseanne was about people and family. The funny thing is, I'm not "white trash" at all. Granted, you can go back a generation on my mother's side and find it pretty quick-like (Cajun and all), but I related with so much of what the characters did anyway. They still interacted a lot like my own family. And even though we're nowhere near that age, I see my sister and I in Roseanna and Jackie. People who think it's all nagging and fighting just don't get it. Brilliant show.
And hey, it doesn't negate my geekdom, because Joss Whedon wrote for it, and Darlene had a picture of the Endless in her room.

29. That's one of my things...I think they almost look too similar (even though they don't) or whatever, but...visually, as well as personality-wise, the ship just doesn't work for me.

32. Yeah. But "Not. You." was funny. (I'm more disappointed that we'll never see Heath Ledger done up like a nerdy-boy again.

33. I did not know that. Great, now I'm hearing Groucho Marx...it doesn't work! Kidding. I think it's cool.

51. What? I think that's one truthy secret.

52. Doesn't make me cry anymore because we've hammed it up too much, but it's still pretty moving.

64. I WANT TO DRAW THAT NOW!!!
I haven't read Runaways in forever (just picked up a backissue the other day), but I actually do like drawing chubbier, more realistic girls. It's fun.
Frankly, what bothers me in exhibit A is that how often do you get both breasts that clearly defined while wearing a t-shirt?

69. See, one of the things I think is so amazing about Life on Mars is that jumping off a very tall building is always a bad thing. You would never want to do it, and you would never want anyone else to do it. But by the time Sam comes to that point, that's the only thing you want him to do, and instead of being hopeless or depressing, it a triumphant, fantastic moment.

Man, I love that show. Not quite to that existent, but I love that show.

Ah, I don't think I'm really 'white-trash' either, that comment was supposed to be a little tongue-in-cheek. I'm more...middle-class bracket, or something. I find it sad that I can't really find shows like Roseanne anymore - now all the families are cut from the same cloth: perfect on the outside with a fakey, soap-opera filling. :/
