One, I'm not getting how this makes Sam a "Sue"

Two, this season was not any better than the last five retread seasons.

Does ''Sue'' mean Mary Sue? Hasn't Sam always been a bit of ''Mary Sue'' then?

But .... Sam has always been altruistic. I'm thinking in particular of how in "Two Minutes to Midnight" he kept rescuing all the civilians.

But really, they both risk their lives to save people, for no pay.
