There are arguments for why it sucks even based on the assumption that it's a temporary shock plot, but okay.

Yeah I haven't heard from anyone who hates it because they assume it's permanent.

It doesn't matter. It will be completely reversed soon with literally no long last effects on the universe. You know that the Tony Stark we have no is actually a teen Tony Stark brought from the past that magically aged up? No one mentions it anymore because that story line is over and it doesn't matter.

But people complain about temporary things all the time. They complain about single episodes in episodic series where that episode will never come up again. I don't usually hear this kind of pushback then.

Yeah but there were people saying these writers should be fired. Or killed. Or saying the writers OBVIOUSLY HATE JEWISH PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

People say the same thing when the episode of a TV show doesn't go their way. Hell, people say actresses should be killed for dating actors who play slashable characters.

This is just normal fandom business.

Maybe people should be focusing on telling them to cut that shit out instead of telling them to stop caring about things. It's not the caring that's the problem--there are plenty of people who hated this move but were civil about it--it's what it's led some of the people to do.
