Kinda agree with you OP.
Half of the discussion here is just people screaming about their hate bonners for "teh evil sjws!!!" and complaining about how "better" fandom used to be.
Don't even get me started on all the bigoted shit I've séen said about women, lgbt members, poc, and transgenders.
I don't think this community is entirely shit because there are a good number of decent people here. But there's also a lot of shitty ones so idk.
