Like there are doors you're not supposed to use, and the official reason is that it's not to disturb another department, but I'm pretty sure it's so they can see you come in and keep an eye on you.

Or, the stupid "break"-card system that we have.

well that's fucked up.

I read a story once about a call center that did this bc they wanted to cram in the maximum floor time per person, and it was all guys in management, and they were kinda confused when a female employee pointed out that sometimes people have periods and will need a little extra time. Plus I don't think anyone even brought up pooping.

But seriously that level of micromanaging is super fucked up, regardless.
