Because people get like that with family. Well, SOME family, and especially kids.I honestly don't think you just "erase" a child, even a shitty one, but ymmv.

No, you're probably right. I don't have kids, and maybe that does make a difference. I like to think I'd have handled the situation different than my mom did if I were in her shoes, but I guess I can't really say since I haven't actually been there myself.
