Oh god, SO many. Uh...
One who's actually for an original story, rather than fanfic like most of them, is Rose. She's ten, an albino, lives in the north-west of England with her mum, and right at the start of the story discovers a fairy imprisoned in the bramble patch at the bottom of the garden. She names the fairy Thorn.
A couple of chapters after that, she discovers that she's a changeling - she is actually a fairy child, left in place of her mother's real baby. After a chapter or two of emotional distress, she decides to go to fairyland to retrieve 'Other Rose', as she calls her. Rose demands that Thorn help her, and Thorn agrees to do so.
Then they set off into a fairyland where the aesthetic is mostly based on Moorish Spain and Morocco, because I'm tired of Western Europe in the Middle Ages being the default fantasy template.

Interesting. I've seen plenty of "my life is a lie," but not much of "someone else was denied their life so I could live it instead." I'd love to see where this goes.

Well, I was sort of annoyed by how, in most stories that have the 'Your parents aren't your parents, your real parents are rich/magical/superpowered, or in some other way cooler' device (aka 'Changeling Fantasy'), it treats being adopted as inherently bad.
Rose loves her mum, even if her mum didn't actually give birth to her - but then, she thinks, her mum thinks Rose is her biological daughter. Shouldn't she have the chance to get to know Other Rose?
Then she asks Thorn what life's like for the human kids who get taken away, and the answer is upsetting enough that she decides her 'sister' needs rescuing.

Along the way she starts to learn her way around her inborn fairy magic, but she's pretty pants at it, even by the end.
