Which would taste the best? Which would taste the worst?

I like seafood a lot, so I imagine any fictional sea monster would taste great. Also I like poultry, so phoenix would probably taste good. I don't imagine any sort of mixed beast would taste great. Like, a hypogriff wouldn't taste too good. The flavors would be muddled. Also, spiders are not really good food, so Ungolient and her progeny would not test good.

So what happens if a disguised evil sorcerer or something feeds an unsuspecting person some unicorn meat or blood sausage or whatever? Would an innocent unknowing unicorn eater just get something like food poisoning?

I'd hope that dragon would be a delicious and spicy meat.

Goblins seem like they would eat a lot of trash and rotten meat. So they would probably taste bad.

I admit, Piers Anthony is a terrible writer in so many ways... but man did his description of dragon steak make it sound delicious. I haven't even HAD steak in years.

I can't. Even the thought of eating a fictional creature feels bad.

However, fictional non-animal food... ....I really, really want to try the wines from ASoIaF. Especially Arbour Gold.

If you believe Japanese folklore, eating the flesh of a mermaid also make you immortal, so that's another plus.

An Alien from LV-426 would probably taste terrible (also, acid for blood). I'm pretty sure Graboids would also taste awful.

ROUSs might be okay. Maybe a Kraken (I like calamari).

If nethack has taught me anything, you can eat damn near anything.

Except for fucking orcs. DO NOT EAT THE ORCS. I mean, if you acquire the right immunities, you can damn near eat ANYTHING, and should, EXCEPT THE FUCKING ORCS.

You gotta try wraith, dragon, giant killer bee, leprechaun, and floating eyeball, but NOT THE FUCKING ORCS.
