Same. Maybe if he'd been more successful as Batman he could get over it, but he wasn't.

I thought everyone said his Batman was pretty much the only redeeming quality in that garbage movie.

I thought all the actors did a good job. The writers/producers/directors in charge of plot coherency, not so much.

as far as plot coherency goes, that honor belongs to Civil War tbh, because I couldn't even grasp the entire movie. Too much was going on and I couldn't tell who was bad and who was evil. It's a mess with a weaker plot. BvS on the other hand, had a much stronger plot compared to CW. I can't wait for the ultimate edition blu-ray.

Don't get me wrong, I actually really enjoyed Batman vs. Superman in all it's stupid glory (hubby swears it's a fanfic made into a film, and I say with this with all love for fanfic), but Civil War's plot was very coherent for me, especially in comparison. However, if you're not familiar with the characters/haven't seen all the films, I could easily see it being too fragmented, because it depends too much on prior information to give weight and reason to certain plot elements.

I do think BvS gets a bad rap, just because everyone was expecting it to be bad. I read an article making fun of it's plot problems and about a third of the 'plot problems' weren't problems at all, and made sense.

Yeah, but that is like saying gonorrhea is the best of the sexually transmitted diseases because it is the easiest to cure.

Eh, pretty much everyone adored his Batman and he gets to direct his own Batman solo movie. For which it looks like he's getting a lot of license to do what he wants. That's not what I'd call not being successful as Batman.
