I liked his relationship with her better than his one with Susan too (I don't really think of him as having one with Susannah, beyond mentor/friend/father figure/). I also liked this relationship with Sister Jenna from the Little Sisters of Eluria too. I mean, he was basically in love with a bunch of bugs, and it was sweet and tragic and I have to give Stephen King kudos for pulling that off.

I never felt much for Susan tbh.

I didn't even think of Jenna when I was making this secret, but agreed. Their relationship was oddly precious, and it's a shame it ended the way it did (but of course it had to; Roland isn't allowed such things).
